Plastic Shed FAQ’s
Where should I put my Plastic Shed? +
How big the area where the shed is going will obviously determine the amount of available space for your new shed. From what our customers tell us, whatever size of free space that you have, having a shed to fill it will mean that you will use up all of that space. We offer a large variety of products and we will be able to provide you with the best product for your needs. Consider somewhere sheltered from the elements and try not to have the entrance facing South/South Westerly to avoid the winds. Ensure to consider the future growth of nearby trees/shrubs.
What surface can my Plastic Shed go on? +
You can easily position your plastic shed directly on to your back garden if it is concreted, has astro turn or tarmacadam, a concrete base or paving slabs. Choose a level, square area with good drainage for the storage building. The base is not included in the kit, and you may need to purchase it separately or construct your own foundation and anchoring system. The foundation should be at least 10 cm larger than the base rail of the shed, with a minimum 10 cm thick concrete slab recommended.
Do I require planning permission in Ireland for my Plastic Shed? +
As it is a portable item, in general, you should not need to get planning permission.. However, if you are unsure, please seek legal advice. Most local authorities will allow homeowners to add a shed to their property but you must check regulatory boundaries.
Do I need to put anything underneath the Plastic Shed to stop dampness? +
To reduce rising dampness from the soil and minimise condensation build-up in the Plastic place a strong plastic sheet (at least 150μm thick) under the foundation. The shed should be securely anchored to prevent wind damage. Once anchored, it is highly recommended to apply silicone along the inside of the base rail to help reduce condensation.

Why Choose a Plastic Shed?

Plastic sheds are a great choice for homeowners looking for lightweight, durable, and low-maintenance storage solutions. Unlike wooden sheds, plastic structures do not rot, warp, or require repainting, making them a hassle-free option for outdoor storage.

These sheds are also resistant to pests, such as termites, and are designed to withstand various weather conditions. Their modular design makes assembly easy, and many models come with ventilation systems to prevent condensation.

Whether you need a place to store garden tools, outdoor furniture, or seasonal equipment, plastic sheds provide a practical and budget-friendly solution. Explore our full selection of Plastic Sheds above, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us at 021 2032 035.
